This is how we move.

There's a reason why some people in the past don't make it into your future, and that entire reason teaches you how to cherish, and love better than how you used to.

I really wonder how I made it through sometimes.

I love pets.
My whole family loves pets.
This is for you, Hope.

A few years ago, my mom chanced upon her by the roadside. And she brought her home. I was still in primary school then. She had dark brown fur, white nose, and long ears. She was so adorable! I remember lifting her paws up to standing position. But she fell backwards instead. (I thought she was a dog!) <3 She was so small, as small as my palm. We decided to name her Hope.
Not having a cage, we kept her in a box and placed it somewhere high. One day, my dad decided to push her down from the box. Being a rabbit, she landed steadily. :D From that day onwards, no matter how high we placed the box, we wouldnt find her inside. (Haha) Since then, she was free to run around the house. Surprisingly, rabbits are as intelligent as dogs! After a few months, we managed to get her to jump into a box placed in the kitchen whenever she wanted to pee. She was definitely smarter than any ordinary rabbits!
Soon, she began to become part of my life. Everyday, without fail. She will coming running for me whenever i return home from school. A few times, i even brought her to school! And my friends loved her too! Whenever anyone squeezes his/her fingers into the spaces between her cage, she would lick them! As though asking them to play with her. :) When i was bored at home, i would run around the whole house looking for her, like little kids playing hide-and-seek! She was easy to spot! Her white nose was visible even in the dark. It was my secret way to finding her :D We even fit a bell around her neck, so that we would hear her running around. It was music to our ears! Hope loved eating uncooked spaghetti.
During christmas, i remember a song Erika and me composed for her.

' Hope hope, the white nose rabbit.
Had a very whitey nose.
And if you ever saw it.
You would even think it snows.
All of the other rabbits.
Had a very blackie nose.
Hope hope the white nose rabbit.
Is the best of all! '
(In tune with Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer)

I remember that night, she dirtied the paws with food. Doing with i usually did. I carried her up to the sink and washed it off for her. I was probably too rough, or careless. When i put her back down to the floor, i realised she was limping. Never did i knew that time, i was losing her. Within minutes, my mom and dad had her in their arms. Shocked, i went over. Her mouth was wide open, she was in pain. One of her back legs were dislocated. She was in pain. As unlucky as we were, it was midnight. And no vets were available. It was December 31st.
The next day, she went to the vet. The veterinarian told us that we either had to amputate her hind leg, or she would not live long. Not wanting to lose her, we sent her for the operation. However, there was only 50% chance that she would survive it.

Sadly, she slept her way through and never woke up.

My parents brought her body home the next day. I remember crying while unwrapping her from the newspapers. Which asshole wrapped her in newspapers. She deserved more than that. We brought her to the temple. And there, she went off peacefully.

If you'd ask me what was one thing i've regretted the most. It would be that night. That night where i made a mistake.

Hope, i want you to know. That i missed you, and i am really sorry.
It's been 4 years, and you were always in my memories.
I loved you, & i always will.
